Please refer to the Policy and Procedures library, under 'Buildings and Grounds Freight Procedure.' Residents are allowed to have semi-trucks deliver their items to the Buildings and Grounds facility under the following condtions: ~ They must inform Buildings and Grounds a truck will be arriving with 24 hour notice. ~ They must be at the facility when the driver arrives. ~ The resident must sign for their own packages/items. We will not sign for them. If anything is broken/destroyed at the time of delivery, they have the right to refuse the shipment, and reach out to the company to see what their damaged goods procedure is. Once you sign for your items, they are yours. ~They must take their items with them, we will not store residents items overnight. It may take a few trips to collect all your items, depending on the vehicle and size of the items, which is perfectly fine. ~They must have a way to get the items on to the grounds themselves. We will not deliver it to their residence within the grounds. We will help you unpackage the pallet of items and load up your vehicle, if you would like assistance in doing so. If these conditions are not met, we will refuse the shipment and the truck will be sent on its way.
You are welcome to stop by the Buildings and Grounds facility within our operation hours to pick items up yourself. If you notice low availability on an item, but are unable to pick the items up immediately, we kindly ask you to put in a work order to reserve the items. All items are 'checked out' on a first-come-first-served basis. If a work order is placed, it allows us to set the items aside for you to pick up at a later time.
Our inventory area is stocked with quite a few everyday tools to 'rent out' at your convenience. You will not be charged a rental fee for these items. However, if the item is damaged, or goes missing, your department will be charged the full cost for a replacement. Please sign out the item on the clipboard, nearest to the tool rental shelf. You will need to write down your name, department, and your supervisors name.
